With 199 memory channels, and up to 10 watts of power, the VV-898 is tiny transceiver that delivers big for little cost.<br>The VV-898 features 199 programmable channels with channel scanning, dual watch, CTCSS/DCS encode/decode, DTMF, and 1750 Hz burst tone. Other features include 65-108Mhz commercial FM radio, individual call, group call, user-defined channel names, VOX capability and an emergency alarm.<br>The Leixen VV 898 has a backlit front panel LCD display and a built-in 400mW speaker that belts out the audio. The hand microphone has a lighted DTMF keypad and is connected to a 23" coiled cord that stretches to well over five feet.<br>The best feature, of course, is its tiny footprint.
